This policy explains how Yeem ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use yeem.in and any product or app published by Yeem (together, the "Services"). It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Data we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares with us.
- Profile and content: details you add to your profile, and files or text you choose to upload or submit.
- Usage data: device type, operating system, app version, pages or screens viewed, and crash reports.
- Notification data: a device token, if you allow push notifications.
- Payment records: plan, amount, date and payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment partners (such as Google Play and Razorpay) and never reach us.
- Job applications: details you send through our Careers page. See Job applicants.
- Messages: anything you send to our support team.
Why we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
- To provide the features you use, including reminders and notifications you turn on.
- To process payments and keep records required by tax law.
- To answer support requests and complaints.
- To find and fix problems and improve the Services.
- To show advertising in some free features, where stated in that product.
- To meet legal obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account, and for legitimate uses allowed under Indian law. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
Artificial intelligence
Some features use AI services to analyse content you submit, such as text or documents. That content is sent to our AI provider only to produce your result. It is not used to train their models.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Services, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Hosting and database (Supabase)
- Sign-in (Google)
- Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Payments (Google Play Billing, Razorpay)
- AI processing (Anthropic)
- Advertising (Google AdMob), in free features that show ads
We may also share data when required by law, a court order, or a government authority acting lawfully.
Where and how long
Data is stored on secure cloud servers, which may be outside India. We protect it with encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews. We keep it while your account is active. After you delete your account we erase it within 30 days, except payment records, which we keep for 8 years as required by tax law.
Job applicants
When you apply for a role through our Careers page, this section explains how we handle your application.
- What we collect: your name, email address, phone number, city, the role and department you apply for, your years of experience, a short note on what you can add and, if you choose, your resume file, a profile link and how you heard about us. Our hiring team may add private notes while reviewing your application.
- Why: to assess your application, contact you about it and, if you agree, about other suitable roles at Yeem. We rely on the consent you give when you submit the form.
- Who sees it: only the Yeem team members involved in hiring. It is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase). We do not sell it or share it with other employers or recruiters.
- Resumes and links: your resume file is stored privately and only our hiring team can open it. We open profile links only to review your application. The sites that host them have their own privacy policies.
- How long: if you are not hired, we delete your application within 12 months of receiving it. If you are hired, it becomes part of your employee records.
- What we never ask for: we do not ask for bank details, Aadhaar, PAN or any payment when you apply. We may ask for documents needed for employment only after an offer.
- Withdraw or delete: email help@yeem.in from the address you applied with, with the subject "Delete my application". We delete it within 30 days.
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses a small amount of storage in your browser to remember things like site text, so pages load faster. We do not use it to track you.
- Advertising: we may show ads on our website through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform.
- Your choices: you can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings, and learn how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Other providers: other ad networks may also show ads on our site. You can opt out of personalised ads from many of them at aboutads.info.
